Sourcing
When a bulk order is imported via API or created by a Quote / Invoice within Turbine, the items can be easily added to a purchase order by selecting Create Supplying POs via the action menu. Bulk order items will also be included in the other reports in Turbine that are used to determine what needs to be ordered. Therefore, sourcing managers can use those reports and build POs manually without using the Create Supplying POs feature.
Due to having some of the inventory on hand, the supplying PO created for this order will cover the remaining inventory required to produce the order.
Picking
Bulk orders will not be included in typical pick batches and will need to have its order ID entered in the Batch Jobs (Pick Batch) form.
The form will notify you below the Orders by ID field if there are any bulk orders with jobs ready to be picked. Enter the order ID provided under Bulk Orders to create the pick batch.
For this example, the batch was picked using the Turbine mobile app, and Cart 3 was used for picking the garments. If you place garments on a cart as part of a bulk order, the pick batch for items in inventory will contain a message alerting the associate that they should re-use the same cart as shown below:
At this point, a temporary order stock label may be printed and placed on Cart 3 with the picked items. To print an order stock label, navigate to the Inventory > Stock Labels > Order Stock Labels page. The labels at the top are in the "pending" state meaning there have been new garments received and assigned to the label.
Click View on the pending label of the order that was picked. Click Print Temporary Label to queue it up for printing in the Turbine Labeler App.
Select Stock Labels - Orders to print Order Stock Labels
The temp label will include all of the items present when the label was printed. It will also notify users which items it is still waiting on. The temp label does not include a barcode as a clear way to determine if the label is ready to be released to production.
Receiving
Navigate to the Purchase Order that includes the bulk order. If created using the Create Supplying POs action, the PO type will be "Order Supplying"
Mark the PO as ordered and then received once it arrives to the production location. To receive the items directly to the bulk order, click on the View Bulk Orders at the top.
In the table, select the bulk order to receive.
The page will now display the items to receive off of this PO that are for the bulk order. If there are jobs already received or picked onto a cart, the cart will be listed at the top as well as the decoration type for the jobs. Since we picked the batch onto a cart, Cart 3 is listed. Locate cart 3, and enter the cart ID into the search field to begin receiving to the cart.
After receiving the remaining garments, return to the Inventory > Stock Labels > Order Stock Labels page and print the pending label.
The released and ready for production label includes a barcode for scanning at the various production and ship screens.
