  • Account - An account is a unique account for order and billing purposes. It may have sub-account and customer records.

  • Batch - A batch of work grouped together for production. A batch contains many jobs to pick and decorate. There are two primary batch types - Pick Batch and Print Batch. A pick batch is used for picking product from inventory. A print batch is used for printing product in decoration types that require a separate print process.

  • Batch Sort - A batch sort contains criteria which will be used when a batch is created. When a batch is created systematically, the oldest job in the system is selected for batching and using the batch sort assigned to the job, the batch is created with like jobs.

  • Bin - A barcoded inventory location used for storing inventory by case or single unit. Each bin is assigned a unique SKU to track inventory at a location.

  • Cart - A physical cart used for moving product or materials in a location. Turbine asks for a Cart ID when picking so that jobs can be tracked to a physical cart. Carts can be barcode labeled for visibility.

  • Custom Tag - Custom Tags allow for additional finishing once the decoration process has completed. If an item / job requires a custom tag it will require the use of the Custom Handling screen under Handle & Ship before it can be shipped. Examples of a custom tag: Sticker, Hang Tag.

  • Custom Tag Bin - A binning system to track the location and quantity of custom tags by location.

  • Decoration Type - The decoration method the blank product supports or requires for example: DTG, Embroidery, Screen Print, DTF. A decoration type can change the workflow steps and processes required to complete a job.

  • Design - A design is associated with the item in an order. When an order is placed Turbine will create a unique design record for each print location. The design contains a mockup of the print and the print ready asset file.

  • EasyPost - EasyPost is an API first shipping system Turbine has integrated with to generate shipping labels, get tracking updates and generate manifests and scan forms.

  • Employee - An employee is an employee that will perform production tasks. Each employee is provided a PIN number used to login to both the web and mobile production screens.

  • Employee Role - The roles available to employees to control access within the Production section.

  • Fail Reason - A fail or scrap reason is used to disposition a failure during production. Each fail reason contains a name, decoration type and what type of reprint is required - product or film.

  • Garment Provider - A vendor that supplies blank product for ordering via a Purchase Order.

  • Insert - An insert will be shown on the Shipping screen. An insert will display an image of any packaging or inserts to include in the packaging prior to shipment.

  • Insert Bin - A binning system to track the location and quantity of inserts by location.

  • Invoice - A billable record or receipt of a Quote that was produced.

  • Job - An individual unit of production that can be tracked with a barcode through production. Not all decoration work requires an individual barcode to produce.

  • Location - A physical location that will decorate and produce product.

  • Match Bin - A bin used to stage completed work before shipping. Also known as a put-wall or consolidation bin, match bins are typically part of a rack with several shelves and locations that can be barcoded for directed racking and collecting.

  • Machine - A machine that will be used in production, including but not limited to receiving station, mobile devices used in production, printers, cutters, quality control and shipping stations. Each machine is provided a unique user login to track usage and control access.

  • Order - An order contains the address, customer, item(s) and job(s) that need to be produced.

  • Package Type - Package types are used to specify the packaging used to ship an order. Each package type contains dimensions, weight and capacity. Turbine will automatically suggest a package type that can be overwritten during packaging.

  • Purchase Order - An order for inventory by garment provider or vendor broken down by SKU and quantity ordered.

  • Purchase Order Invoice - A record of inventory received by Invoice number against a Purchase Order for tracking / accounting.

  • Print Pallet - A print pallet or platen is the physical pallet that is used on the machine to load the product and prepare it for decoration.

  • Print Preset - A printer value for controlling printer settings when available.

  • Print Profile - A RIP software value for how to generate the printer ready file based on the blank product.

  • Print Recipe - A database of print settings to use for a given SKU. Combines the Print Preset and Print Profile.

  • Product - A product is a container for a print SKU and designs meant for re-use. A product can be added to an order or used to map data from an e-commerce system to a printable product.

  • Production Bin - Similar to Match Bins, but include an optional Decoration Type. A production bin is used to stage work before production. As work is staged, Turbine will check if all jobs for that decoration type and optionally film have been checked in before collection for production.

  • Quote - A quote for work to collect approvals, payment and create a production order. A quote contains the SKU, decoration type, prices and the designs to be decorated on the product.

  • Receiving - A station or area in production used to receive in blank products, label them, and stage them for production or put away to inventory. Typically includes a computer, scanner and a label printer.

  • RIP Software - Raster Image Processing Software - Caldera, Wasatch - takes the input of raster image data and outputs printer specific print files for the printer driver.

  • Service Request - A service request is a ticket for internal or external support. An account client can login and create a ticket for support or internally a production manager can create a service request to the artwork team to fix artwork prior to decoration.

  • Service Request Reason - A table of common service request reasons to simplify the service request creation process.

  • Shift - A shift is used to track employee and machine activity within a scheduled day and hour range. Each shift can be scheduled to track activity within a day.

  • Shipment - A shipment is associated with an order and contains the shipping provider, method, tracking number, cost (where available) and tracking history.

  • Shipping Provider - A shipping provider for shipment and pickup. For example: USPS, DHL, FedEx, UPS.

  • Shipping Method - A shipping method supported by a shipping provider. For example: GroundAdvantage, Standard Overnight, 2 Day.

  • SKU - A unique style, color and size of product used in inventory. The SKU record associates with Stock and Stock Label to track the quantity on order, in warehouse and actively stored as labeled inventory.

  • Stock - The total location quantity used for tracking the quantity on order, on hand and to order.

  • Stock Label - A stock label is a barcoded label that is created when inventory is received or created. Types of stock labels include: Case, Single, or Job. A case is used for a carton or case of inventory with the same SKU, a single for an individual unit of inventory, and a job stock label is an already activated stock label that is attached to a job for production. A stock label becomes activated when a job is attached via picking or receiving of inventory.

  • User - A user in Turbine can login via email and password. Depending on the user's department and role, he or she will have permission to access sections within Turbine.
