To start using custom tags that are printable in Turbine you will first need to submit a Custom Tag with an order with the “printable” option set to “true”, or to modify the tag in Turbine after the order has been submitted.
A custom tag can be updated to printable in Turbine by navigation to Manage > Custom Tags, and editing the custom tag to true as shown below:
Once set to printable the custom tag can be printed at any stage in the production cycle using the Turbine Labeler app version 1.1.0 and above by selecting Custom Handling and entering the Job ID or Stock Label ID by scanning the barcode into the Label ID field:
Each custom handling label can accept up to 6 unique descriptors separated by a “-” in the custom tag code / name field in the API or via the Custom Tag edit screen. The layout of the label must be modified to print each descriptor to fit the label. Sample API data for a tag shown below:
